Function Details:
The concernt was attended by approximately 80 concert goers.  It was MC'd by Don who also provided appropriate and entertaining slides for each piece as well as information about the piece/composer and the sound was expertly managed by John Wheeler.  The band played for about 40 minutes and then took a 25 minute intermission where donated bake goods and drinks were serverd to the audience and donations were accepted.  We also sold 3 of the band cds at the concert.  After intermission, the band played the second half which lasted about 30 minutes.

  • band members supplied
    • baked goods - assortment of cookies, cupcakes and brownies
    • water bottles - used 76 1/2 pint Poland Springs bottles
    • 3 1/2 gallons of egg nog
    • 60 8 oz clear plastic cups
    • ~100 napkins
    • ~ 50 dessert paper plates
    • 2 long disposable table clothes
Donations:
During intermission, a baked goods table was manned (err wo-manned) and donations were collected...I dont remember how much, but have it written down at home :-).  Thank you to Carla McDonough for runnng this!
 
Music:
      an assortment of Christmas and Hanukkah pieces, but mostly Christmas music was played
 
Done well:
  • accompanying slides with specific pictures for each piece was excellent
  • MC did a fantastic job of providing info on the pieces and keeping it entertaining
  • sound team did a fantastic job with the mics...as usual
Areas to improve:
  • concert was short on it's projected time, not a problem for this concert since it was free, but should keep an eye on it since this does seem to happen quite often
