Every summer, the sounds of bands playing marches, patriotic songs, musicals and pop tunes fill the air from the many gazebos and bandstands of America. Folks of all ages come bearing folding chairs, blankets and picnic baskets to spend an enjoyable afternoon or evening being serenaded by their musical friends and neighbors. The MVCB is proud to be a part of this American tradition. Every summer we play a series of concerts that start on Memorial Day and run to the end of August. We play in beachfront gazebos and on historic New England greens; we play for Fourth of July celebrations, homecomings and everything in between.
We invite you to pull up your chair, pour yourself a glass of lemonade and sit back and relax. You can watch the children play, tap your foot to the beat and enjoy the lazy, hazy summer days. Best of all, there won't be any mosquitoes as the Merrimack Valley Concert Band brings you Songs from the Bandstand. We hope you will enjoy yourself and hope you will be part of the audience the next time we play!
